For anyone who, like me, needs some guidance on setting up a #bitcoin node and personal server for processing transactions, this tutorial from Cole is spot on - thank you, Cole.

I find that clarity over complexity is key when tackling technical setups that can feel a bit overwhelming. Self-sovereignty is a right, and having resources that are clear, accurate, and easy to follow makes a huge difference. Hopefully, this tutorial will be just as helpful for anyone else looking to achieve this.

Is this the southern bitcoiner? He’s legit!

Yeah man he’s great. Very clear and easy to follow. I wish most people were like this when explaining something

Do you run your own node / server?

I do yeah. Star9 etc. on the odd occasion I wish I didn’t though. Like when stuff doesn’t work properly😂

What issues have you been experiencing? How often does it happen?

Inconsistent LAN access is can be an issue. Sometimes the blockchain takes a while to resync. But all round pretty happy with it. All part of being responsible for your money

Are you using tor at all for accessing from distances? Sorry for the q’s, just trying to understand this stuff!

NP. Mostly LAN. I’ve used tor a couple times. Sometimes I use tor because of some of the services need it. Or tor is working instead of LAN.
