Probably the filmmakers not wanting to accidentally summon something... But like.. then why not make up all the details instead of mixing details from different things? That seems more dangerous to me 🤷🏽

Get your hopes too to high. I feel that the suspension of disbelief falls apart a little at the end with the CGI...

But the way they filmed it, the aesthetic pulls you in immediately. Feels like a 70s documentary until a certain point.
