macOS or Linux are both platforms for adults, with varying quality and emphases.

Windows is good mostly for running destination programs, like games or enterprise software, not as a general purpose operating system.

Vanilla install? I recently came across and used tiny11 to make an install iso and really like the result. No additional hacks to install or use without a windows account and no bloat.

But yeah, verifying sigs is good.

Next steps: learn how to use a SeedSigner (always a good tool to have, for example if you need to temporarily handle a seed outside an HWW)

I bet it's to run some specific (i.e. destination) program, not for general file handling, remotely logging in, managing media etc, right?
