What you're saying is it's ok to support the torture, rape and murder of innocent children as long as you, one day, will admit that you were wrong 🙄
Talk is cheap, only action meters. These "world leaders" coming out and criticizing Israel means nothing. They and their states for years presented disregard for ethical standards and provided support for the genocide of Palestinian people. They are morally bankrupt if talk is the only thing they do to stop this genocide. They just do it to be able to say in the future they opposed it.
Absolutely, I agree with you. Most of these people and media outlets now backtracking/gaslighting us are being disingenuous. I don't even think this will change anything for the Palestinian people or Gaza specifically.
At least maybe people will stop losing their jobs or getting deported for saying Free Palestine. At least people will learn the truth about Zionism.
I especially think this is important for the Jewish Americans who have been brainwashed since by Zionism. Israel endangers their safety around the world.
One can only hope it helps in any meaningful way. Every passing day without a resolution to the situation of the Palestine people is a hartbraker.
I dissociate to not lose my mind over it. Since October 7th my heart knew it was hopeless. They wanted that land and had their excuse. But when I see public admissions like I think at least it'll finally be performatively taboo to ignore live streamed genocide.
