I told my mum that a lady joined Nostr yesterday and earned ~$1,180 in Bitcoin. For one post. Zapped to her wallet. I had to explain to her that Nostr is like Facebook but decentralised and you get paid in Bitcoin for great posts - she has a basic level understanding of what Bitcoin is.
