Ugh. I've been Windows 11 free until today. I received a new work laptop. It's pretty sweet, besides the Windows 11 part. Thankfully I spent most of my day inside a bash terminal.

So many things to disable and uninstall...

My condolences.

Thank you 🥹

Duel boot that shit.

You want them to fight one another? 😂

Yes.

Why isn't Windows smart enough to ask me to install WSL when I install Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store? Where's my man Clippy saying "Hey, I see you're trying to install Ubuntu, however you're going to need to enable WSL from Windows Features first. Would you like me to take you there or install it for you?"

C'mon. It's 2024. Make Clippy Great Again.

The only upside to win11 is having access to linux. 😅

Windows 11 has a keylogger (and an inklogger) by default.

I began using windows again after like 7 years because of work and I remember why I ran from it in the first place. The updates break things in unexpected ways e.g git.

Wsl at times is way slower for nodejs projects

I don't do any local development beyond a few bash scripts 👀 so I don't really notice the slowness that I've heard others mention.
