Maybe that’s my hot take — I need my face to melt when I listen to nirvana on 11, so that recording doesn’t do it for me 😂
If I’m watching it on YouTube, sure it’s beautiful

Hit me with Trey’s top 5 albums
In no particular order:
Mac Demarco 2
Beach House - Teen Dream
The Beatles - I honest to god can’t pick. Favs in rotation right now are Beatles for Sale, Rubber Soul, Abbey Road and Let it Be
The National - High Violet
Nirvana - Nevermind
And there’s like hundreds of others god this question is hard. I’ll randomly listen to Tyler the Creator on repeat for like 4 weeks straight, then jump to Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Switchfoot (old Christian nostalgia)
Niiiiice. Dude, so much to discuss with this list. Throwing mac demarco in the top 5 = major conversation starter. Interesting National selection too. Curious how close Boxer or Trouble Will Find Me were to cracking the list.
Very close in ranking re the National!
When I hear Mac, that is college for me, going to some of the wildest shows I’ve been too at small venues in Boston and Cambridge watch Mac crowd surf, hang from the ceiling, and rock out
And Mac Demarco’s music ages like a fine wine for me
True story. I played bball my freshman year of college. Over winter break we stayed on campus for games. We were packed into a couple of houses, sharing rooms, etc because all other buildings were closed. One night a teammate and I were just chilling, having some beers, listening to the mtv unplugged album. The sun went down and the room got dark. We were both so engrossed in the music neither of us moved to turn on lights. And we sort of felt a flash of what we perceived to be Kurt’s presence. Next day I try to explain this experience to our relatively young assistant coach. His response, deathly serious: “Logan, you’re aware the NCAA conducts random drug tests, right?”
