I have to confess that I mistakenly believed 🫂 was a movie icon 🎦 for a long time! Don’t they look somewhat similar? This emoji is rarely used in Japan as people don’t hug family & friends usually🙂 #plebchain 💜

Funny. Can definitely see the similarity. The hug emoji needs two different colors for the huggers.
Glad I wasn’t the only one. I am from US Midwest. Not a lot of hugging there either. It’s not why I moved, but a side benefit
