This might be obvious to many of you but Bitcoin does not only compete with fiat currencies like the dollar. It is also competing with Apple, Google, Paypal, Twitter, Facebook... they all want to be your bank. Some have payment systems now, others like Twitter are moving that way. It should be obvious why these companies haven't embraced Bitcoin. Bitcoin is better. It is a technology leap over them. They should all embrace it. IMHO they all will or they will be added to the list of dead technology companies.
