Lots of things going on today. Have some future chickens - some assembly required. My rooster decided that I am the enemy so hopefully I will hatch out a new boy here & will need one less aggressive rooster.

My neighbor is out in my yard building a fence for us. Hubs had surgery yesterday and cannot help, neighbor came over to do it himself. If you don’t have neighbors like this you need to move somewhere where they exist & cultivate these relationships. This man is a godsend

Gotta love a good neighbor! Good luck on getting a friendlier boy. Have you tried toting him around while you're doing light yard chores? I've heard this can help break them of their aggression before sending them straight to freezer camp. That and kinda pinning him in front of the gals so that his ego is a little bruised. Both of those things definitely helped with an aggressive hen we have. I can't have any roosters because we're still technically in city limits.

Mostly it’s self defense at this point in time. I have to carry a stick when I go in the corral to feed them. The real concern is when they move to my winter coop, I’ll be way more vulnerable & could lose an eye.

Congratulations on the nomination by the way, I’d vote for you but I’m not registered
