A quote from "Pegged" catching Alias' rant on how managerialism ruins apps.

"They’re built as perpetual money machines, engineered for endless upgrades, subscriptions, and feature creep. Every update adds friction, every redesign extracts a little more. What could be simple tools become unusable labyrinths, serving investors and managers instead of users."

🤣🤣 is he describing the #Microsoft business model?

One can easily find enablers who rationalize and justify the behavior. An entire career can be had without question or criticism. We can do the opposite here.

Where?

I'm guessing almost every suitably large public company with a recurring fee model. Or did you mean where is here? I meant FOSS.

This is gibberish to me. What is foss? Something you clean your teeth with?
