Another feel good worth sharing was a recent trip to a local vet. My new pup had developed what looked like a "quarter" sized cyst behind his ear. He kept scratching it and it was open and raw all the time. I didn't want it to get infected, so I took him in to have it removed.
After a quick examination, the vet told me that these kinds of growths were fairly common, and can disappear on their own. The vet said he could remove it for $1,000 or we could wait and see how it develops. I opted to wait and he charged me $35.
The good news is that a month later the growth has completely healed. I know the vet could have easily removed the growth, and charged me $1,000, but he didn't. It's a feel good for me, builds trust, and encourages me to recommend him to others.
Faith in humanity restored... lol
