Nijntje was born in the Netherlands. Because it's Dick Bruna's work.
In Japan, Nijntje is affectionately known as Miffy or "Usako-chan." Japanese companies obtain licenses and make character products like this, but Nijntje are definitely from the Netherlands 😉

You can buy them at Japanese post offices or buy them online...but I guess they probably don't ship overseas 🥺
