Mastodon is not the answer. The protocol is not the issue for refresh control a implementation can be done instagram when I was on it use to have it. You use to be able to choose there they called it sync feed it had manual(disabled), every 15mins, 45mins, 60mins, & always. This controled how much the global feed requested the getfetch information. Why can't this client do the same theres no excuse except it just wasn't thought to be implemented or refuses to work on the idea.

Running off to another platform will not change the problems here plus I like getting zapped on my posts. It's a standard now if I can't get paid for my post on that social network then fuck it.

Oh yeah, if you like zaps, yeah, other platforms wont help.

Other platforms definately have solutions for some of your problems, but if you are in it for the zaps, that stuff doesn't matter.

I just tried it out. The app isn't that bad actually. It uses half as much battery as reddit.

Do you have 30s relays on your profile because your not really getting the usage unless you have multiple relays.

I just use what is default.

Also thats background could you show me something that shoes while in use?

The screenshot lists both background and foreground
