Replying to Running Man

Good morning NOSTR Fam!

It looks like it's going to be an ideal spring day in the #keystonestate

Yesterday morning I tweeted the below message.

This morning I awoke and submitted my resignation.

While It's been a very emotional time it has been a completely rational decision process spanning several months.

I've been with this company for 16 years and when you are with a company that long, your colleagues and coworkers become friends and some even as close as family.

As a result of this decision I've forfeited a substantial sum in options (golden handcuff stuff) and I'm going to miss the frequent teams chats with...basically those same friends.

I will likely (but reluctantly) create a Facebook account to stay connected with these friends as that is the platform where I would be able to reach the most of them.

I don't have any work lined up yet. However, having been a student of the #daveramsey school of personal finance I have minimal debt. What little debt I am carrying is profitable at the moment. Given no black swan events in terms of health, I have about a 6-12 month runway before things get tight.

I'm writing this note as an outlet of sorts, because no one irl is aware of my passionate interests in NOSTR or the broader Bitcoin community.

I did consult with legal counsel before making the decision. And even he kept saying "crypto currency" which zinged me every time and I've had to correct him it's Bitcoin.

Well that my rant for the morning.

One last thing to add, I have an alt account that I will be using to learn and grow.

If you are an entrepreneur and building anything in the Bitcoin space. Please follow me so that I can reciprocate, follow you, learn from you and perhaps even be of help in some capacity.

I want to be excited every day about my next endeavor. Having turned 50 y/o a few weeks every minute needs to matter.

Much love to you all and to some extent this community (you all) have embolden me to make this decision.

#blessings and GM , HB too! This is my 50 year as well and I feel the same way about everyone around me with thier heads in the sand while thier land burns to the ground and thier accounts are pillaged. People still wear masks and refuse to watch or listen to what’s actually going on in congress or the DOJ.. they keep seeking out those sources that confirm what’s made up in thier heads because it keeps them comfy. Whatever , I have watched my

Business become evaporated and the markets where one small business serves another are toast at this point, the only path I see a future for freedom and potential is through #NOSTR .

I’ll be following you here and learning from your experience and will help out in anyway I can .. thanks for sharing and stay Blessed !

thank you callnote and #blessings to you as well my friend.

I am with you 100% . It can be disheartening and becoming spiritually toxic if you don't force a change.

I think it was either c o r e y OR s a y l o r that said paraphrasing "even if bitcoin fails, you can't "unknow" what you've learned". That fact simultaneously sucks and liberating if that makes any sense.

I had a pretty cool, comfortable set up for myself before bitcoin came along (about 3 years ago). But I've never been one for complacency (or mediocrity). Inertia is a real thing as you get older, so it's been sticky decision process. I had been considering this change since last September. Younger me, would have made the move in September.

Just moments ago I spoke to my dad about this. He is 85 years old and operates 2 homesteads (4 hours apart) in Haiti.

He made this same move at the age of 65. He is in great health, he doesn't get bitcoin but wakes up every day with purpose. He is proud because I am doing at the age of 50, what he didn't figure out until he was 60 and ultimately forcing his change at 65.

but yeah. nuff of that.

again thanks.

That’s truly inspiring Brother! Thanks!
