There’s no reason iOS shouldn’t be able to read QR codes from any image, even if it’s posted on a social media account.
If the Photos app can do it, it should be one tap to decode the URL from anywhere so you don’t have to save it first.

Google lens can scan QR codes on iOS devices, you must also have the Google search app installed. This is probably yucky for iPhone users.
