who here uses Home Assistant? Is it any good?

I've been using HA for a long time. It used to not be very easy to use, but I'm not sure now because my automations were set up a long time ago. I can say it's a pretty stable system with frequent updates. If you're the type of person who likes to tinker and doesn’t mind putting in the effort to learn, then it's really cool.
yeah it's scratching a few itches..
seems quite robust, lots of features and supported brands too. In regards to updates, I watched a tutorial from 10 months ago on the calendar feature stating "you currently can't edit events on the calendar" and when I went to test it I saw "edit event" on the event item. So, it means that even though it's FOSS it seems well supported and updated. Nice to see that
There’s at least one update every month but it’s normal to have a bunch of updates monthly. It’s development team is really active.
Yes. There's a learning curve for sure but worth it IMO.
Now when I buy things for around the house, I will check first if its compatible with Home assistant and does the community like / support it.
it looks quite robust, lots of things to do on it with automation. I've been watching youtube tutorials on it.
then again, i've never needed to know the temperature of my living room or switching on a light etc. but there are interesting use cases
