I think that biggest threat with CBDC is that government would have tool to disable currency exchange with one click.

I see two possible scenarios of this:

1. New way of sanctions.

Uncle Joe has a problem with some country.

Click, enemy country currency is no longer exchangeable to USD both ways.

No more oil for you.

2. You government overleveraged debt and now your country currency is sinking into hyperinflation death spiral.

Click, you cannot exchange your country's fiat shitcoin into anything else and all you can do is watching your lifetime savings evaporate.

Bitcoin fixes this.
