Was reading some of the documentation, one of the methods they use to weigh results is the number of trackers on the site: more trackers=further down the list of results. Which is a genius metric, if a site is spending all that effort on tracking, content probably suffers.

I'm guessing the rest is just magic

I always wondered why Google didn't do that: rank down websites with repeated content, ads, trackers etc.

They would impact their own bottomline
