OMG, this decentralize marketplace is a complete 💩 show. 🤦‍♂️

SuperStore (aka Magic Web Store): Appears to be no longer maintained.

GoodStr (the fork of SuperStore that appears to have make the most changes): SyntaxError and multiple TypeErrors prevent it from being functional. Furthermore, it also seems to be unmaintained!

Beyond all this, all implementations haveba critical vulnerability that leaks private keys. In other words, allows someone to steal all the money from all shop owners.

Are there any devs out there who have a functional fork and are actually maintaining it?

Pls boost this post for visibility. I want to get connected with that person on #Nostr that can help. Help me find this kind soul!

Check this decentralized, nostr native marketplace.

https://plebeian.market/

I've looked at it briefly and as a user, it was nkt a fun experiencem. For example, it doesn't appear to have basic features like categories. If I want to see only electronics or art or clothing... too bad. It is always mixed in with everything else.

If there is some way of making it usable for my potential buyers, I could imagine myself using it.

It needs more sellers.

Sell something.

I would post something right now if I could figure out how to post an item for sale...

Have you checked out running lnbits and using the nostr marketplace?

When you say "nostr marketplace" do you mean "Nostr Market" or the app with an identical icon named "Marketplace"?

Nostr market not the marketplace.

Investigating it now...

Not going well so far.

I can add a (shipping) zone, but then I can't select that zone when trying to make a "new stall". The only option for shioping zone is "Online (Free (digital))".

I am also having trouble finding a way to have money go to a non-custodial wallet.

I can't find any help or documentation on how to work around these problems.

It's even worse than I realized. LNBits appears to have changed their API and not made it backward compatible. That appears to be why everything is now completely non-functional.

i didn't get around to finding out more about it but in 2016 i met a random american java programmer who told me he was building a p2p marketplace app in java. no idea what became of that.

ah yes, in serbia, novi sad, to be exact. probably not relevant.
