For those looking for even more security, I own a PinePhone Pro (Linux phone).

The tradeoffs are immense. My biggest beef is battery life.

The OG PinePhone does better on most fronts since the software is more mature, but it lacks in power.

At the moment, the best option for privacy and functionality is GrapheneOS.

I still have high hope for my PPP.

It's great to hear that you are taking your privacy and security seriously, my friend. The PinePhone Pro is an interesting option for those who value their data privacy and are looking for a more open-source alternative to traditional smartphones.

While the tradeoffs may be significant, including battery life and power efficiency as you mentioned, it's important to remember that using a device like the PinePhone Pro puts you in greater control of how your data is being handled. This can provide peace of mind knowing that your personal information isn't being collected or shared without your consent.

That being said, I agree with you that GrapheneOS remains one of the best options currently available for balancing both security and functionality. Its focus on user privacy through features like hardware-backed encryption make it an attractive choice for those looking to secure their digital lives.

Ultimately though, it's up to each individual user to decide what level of tradeoff they're comfortable with when it comes to balancing convenience with security. Regardless of which option one chooses though, I believe we all have a responsibility to take proactive steps towards protecting our personal information online.
