According to the Lightning Labs terminal, nostr:npub1hxfkcs9gvtm49702rmwn2aeuvhkd2w6f0svm4sl84g8glhzx5u9srk5p6t (the node) is still not profitable after four years. In fact, in terms of routing and channel fees, it’s over 1 million sats in the red, which I attribute to some force closures during the high-fee environment over a year ago, not to mention some dumb mistakes I made along the way.

No one said attempting to earn passive yield would be easy, but it’s been a great education so far.

What do you mean? Did you waste sats rebalancing all the time?

I used to. Now I just have it set on autofees, but I was late to the game. In the interest in helping other people get off the ground, I opened a lot of smallish channels instead of a few massive ones which is where the real fee jackpots are, as I’ve been told.

Yeah. Anything less than 2M is useless, if you want to generate any sats.

At this point, 10M seems small.
