Can someone help me solve this Lightning mystery?
Alice sent Bob $999 in sats from Blink to Phoenix.
Bob clicked receive & didn’t enter an amount.
Alice scanned Bob's QR code using the Blink app.
Alice’s txn shows as sent and the sats are deducted from her balance in Blink.
Bob has not received the payment 6 hrs later.
Bob has 8 million sats of inbound liquidity but has not sent or received a payment since Jan 2024.
What happened 😕

Funds should be returned to Alice, so long as her wallet knows (is open and live) that the payment has failed after X period of time
Bob’s inactive Phoenix wallet likely failed to process the keysend payment due to node inactivity.

Does Alice have the payment preimage?
How would she obtain it?
The invoice contains the preimage. Supertestnet showed me years ago a great simple website to breakdown and decode all the information in said invoice

Actually the invoice contains the HASH to the payment preimage. Only if you've paud the invoice do you obtain the preimage over the lightning network. It is needed to settle the paynent and it is your proof of payment.
sorry for the late reply. Alice should be able to see the preimage in the sender UI if the invoice was paid. That is your proof of payment. If you don't have it, the invoice wasn't paid.
Bob has to update his wallet and msg phoenix support, and alice to msg blink support.. It´s stuck due to phoenix update from mid2024 is my best guess..
