The 51st state hysteria was a gift to Canadian politicians of all levels of government; federal, provincial & municipal.
They can now ignore all the massive problems they've themselves created and focus on something that is purely emotionally driven with no real substance.
It's been a meme joke since at least the late 1990s Internet especially in competetive online fps games.
the fact that people are emotional about it or believe it makes me laugh.
Trump goes all in on hyperbole and always has. One would think that his haters would know this by now but it appears that all they know is whatever enraging 5 second clip CBC shows them.
