Griselda Blanco. “Black Widow.” Medellín, Colombia, 1979.

$80 Million a month.

Griselda Blanco’s legacy is a complicated one, as most drug dealers are. Many sympathized and understood her becoming who she became based off her indescribable trauma she faced as a young girl, while others viewed her as a murderous drug dealer that had no picks with who felt her wrath.

After the death of Griselda’s second husband Alberto Bravo, she took over his part in the drug trade and expanded it. It was said that she was the one who got rid of him, other counts say it was Pablo Escobar. Other sources say that Griselda assisted Pablo into entering the Cocaine business as well.

Griselda wasted no time in gaining power in the areas that she flooded with Cocaine, the main city being Miami. Her Cocaine usage caused her to be paranoid most of the time, changing her mindset which prompted her to eliminate competition, and also potential threats on a dime. Because of Griselda’s presence in Miami, Miami became the m*rder capital of the country.

Griselda would also frequent New York, and California.

Miami is where she made her deadly impact, proving herself to be no nonsense and quick to end life with just a look.
