Custodial does seem like the way merchants bootstrap into the Bitcoin-lightning paradigm. The alternative is to literally build the liquidity economy from the ground up (a federated network style) and it looks like merchants don't have time for that. I hope Coinos can continue to eschew the intoxicating pull to rug people.

If so, we can integrate big players into self-custodial lightning and build that free market from the ground.
