I find it fascinating how all of these artifacts of civilizations long lost are actual remnants of actual human beings. Such a bizarre and beautiful thought — these people were just like us, and we are just like them; separated by millennia, yet connected thru time. We probably have much important to learn about their way of life.

Yes this is a reason why I love older cities. Worn down streets and buildings that have stood for hundreds of years. Ancient buildings are even more inspiring. It’s almost like they carry an energy from the past
