I seen some wait times as little a 6 moths. Basically they can plant former employees in positions to make decisions in their favor while trying to claim "independent agency"
Huge conflict of interest and it gets pointed out all the time, but nobody ever does anything about it.
Banks hire former SEC regulators. You know that the job was offered to the regulator while they were in office as a quid pro quo.
Same with the FDA and pharmaceutical companies.
