And, on another note, PodPing could use nostr as a data layer, it would be as easy as running your own relay.
nostr's architecture would be perfect for it. Kukks even built a drop-in replacement a while ago.
Stupid question and I might have an answer myself, but why not publish the podcast feed as Nostr events?
