In the early 16th century, young #Philotheia, dedicated to #God, faced cruelty from her stepmother. One day, while carrying food to workers in the field, her stepmother demanded she return home. Instead, Philotheia, guided by compassion, gave the food to the needy. Enraged, the stepmother beat her mercilessly, leading to Philotheia's martyrdom. Her relics, now in Curtea de Argeș Monastery, are venerated, a testament to her unwavering love and sacrifice.
