Credit: Home & Gardening Tips "29 days ago I sliced and planted 1 tomato, and today I have 196 new tomato plants.

1. Slice a tomato and plant the slices in seed starting soil.

2. Cover the slices with moist soil.

3. Place a lid over the container to create a humid environment.

4. Once you see the seeds germinate, remove the lid. 5. Let the plants grow until they are ready to transplant." #gardening #homesteading

Never seen this method before.

Great gardening tip, but those are some sad looking tomatoes. Just saying...

I also did something similar, but I squeezed a tomato directly into the soil and covered. Worked great. I actually have a better success rate with a tomato than I do with bought tomato seeds.
