libralism and godlessness ultimately turns us in to the canibals and ritualistic sacrifcers of human lives we were before christ showed up.

did you know the aztecs required 20,000 human lives per year to appease their gods.

Christ showing up didn’t turn us into civilized good people either. Looking at past civilizations as primitive is silly when it seems the more we discover the more advanced they were then us in many ways considering the lack of technological advancements we have. Also Christ showing up is FUD to many of us 🤷‍♂️✌️

you are entitled to disagree

I am, and I did ✌️🫶

Past civilizations, across the board, sacrificed humans to appease the gods. This is a known, universal fact with tons of historical evidence to back it up. Christ saved us from that nonsense.

lol and you have evidence “Christ” changed this, thanks 🙏 lol, needed a good laugh tonight

Ancient religious cultures as a whole contained animal and/or human sacrifices. As the Christian revolution spread it turned ancient pagan cultures away from its animal and/or human sacrificial nature. (The closest example in time would be Spanish meeting the Aztecs.)

They then used “religion” to genocide the entire native culture. Whether it was the Spanish trying to “civilize” or teach the Aztecs “religion”, it’s all a scam to gain land/control/power, and there is nothing godly/religious about that besides the greed/length man will go to conquer/obtain more. Ancient civilizations were no more barbaric than organized religions today imo 🤷‍♂️🫶✌️

Don’t conflate the political influence of Christianity with its social influence. No one is saying the Christian political influence didn’t do horrible things. But our modern educational system, human rights, charitable and health institutions grew out of Christianity moral principles as well. Even concern about the eradication of Aztec culture by the Spaniards is rooted in Christian principles. Christian concern for the lowly and marginalized, is precisely what Nietzsche, the world’s greatest atheist, disliked so much about Christianity.

Political and social influence from Christianity are one in the same. It’s a business and you are referring to times that we don’t know shit about. Christianity is toxic, morals and principles in the book have their place but it’s a scam, it’s not a real book, and I don’t agree with you at all 🤷‍♂️✌️

Oh and btw, modern education system is broken-thanks religion, charitable and health institutions-? They are a non profit who churn money out like the government for their own benefit. I’ll stop now but yeah, religion is shit and I whole heartedly disagree with all of your points besides Nietzsche, which supports my opinion. They go after the “poor” “helpless” to convert them into another cog in their big wheel of bullshit 🤷‍♂️✌️

my aim is not to please

Have you ever read Rene Girard? He is the only person I’ve ever read who made sense as to why we humans sacrificed other humans.

wow. this whole thought came from discussing girard with a friend today. no. i need to. 🔥

some notes i took... violence and the sacred...!

This is the perfect book to start with.
