"A federal court recently ruled (CCFR vs. Canada) that the government can seize any and all "private" property by executive fiat, and that such seizure is constitutional.

Your house could be seized for refugee placement.

Your bank account for redistribution.

Your firearms by politicians who don't like the colour of the stock you use, or bullets you fire.

In fact, any asset you own could be constitutionally seized by an Order In Council or Legislation, and the courts have so far ruled such seizures as legal.

Unless the Supreme Court overturns that position, it means that there is no "private" property in Canada.

You would think something so important would receive front page coverage, and raise concern among the general public."
