Excuse me, what is alt text?
Discussion
Text within the html file on a website that is invisible on the browser , but if you use a screen reader ie you are blind , then when you hover over elements on the page , the alt= text is spoke n to the user so they can know what is going on in the webpage .
It's bog standard UX , every site does it , I dont know why she is acting like its a big change .
It's "inclusive" of screen readers but to require it as a moral necessity is just conformist groupthink.
