I would discard this as fake unless somebody could point me to actual news articles where this is mentioned. In this day and age i would actually ask for multiple sources because you can just let your AI generate whatever you want.

In all honesty i would advice you to stop reading the news. It was bad for you 10 years ago and now they can perfectly tailor it to cause maximum mental damage and for what? You gain nothing from it just ranges of emotions (mostly bad) that are totally out of your control.
