maybe not enough to cover marketing expenses, but there were 80k people playing the game on Steam alone during the weekend. Rumours says the game cost 250m, but I'm not sure about it.

Hmmm than we could assume the game has 100K owners on steam. With the other platforms they may reach 500K. I don't think that's enough to even pay itself...

They'll probably never release the real budget behind it, but Dragon Age is big enough to at least break even. Over time, we'll see if they have the guts to release another game. If so, it might end up being profitable. Otherwise, they'll likely shelve the series and make cuts at BioWare.

Anyway, Dragon Ages Origins is still the best in the series, and it is also a fun game to come back to.
