Does anyone have a good article on how E-Cash started, it's journey and why it failed? It's my understanding that this was the predecessor to Bitcoin.

Thank you bro, this was a very effective way of digesting Bitcoins birth! So it occurs to me that E-Cash was before it's time but was a huge influence on Satoshi.
