If you were starting from scratch with very limited programming knowledge where would you start with developing on #nostr

With an off-grid HF Ham Radio packet networking nostr client and server. A custom networking stack, keep alives, compression schemes, special authentication connections, and build it so that anyone in the world can use it without permission.

Well thats what I did anyways. lol.... shoot me now.

Will you develop a guide for how to set up and run the system? I'd be interested in testing. I do enjoy manual writing or could proof read and update as I follow directions.

A bit, yes. But not on the hardware side. Most hams who have done any kind of data should be fine.

The issue is there are hundreds and thousands of different configurations possible. To start with, you will need 2 HF (vhf soon) transceivers, a client and server.

I'm the near future, I hope to run a server 24/7, and have others do the same so clients can all connect from wherever.

Why two HF? Can you pause download for upload? Could someone with an SDR just receive?

I'll add, setup is pretty easy. Just python for now, any platform, and a tnc modem software that is setup. Like direwolf, uz7ho. Or even a hardware KISS tnc modem should work fine.

But you have to keep in mind that I am not that smart. Haha maybe some steps for the non-coders or what is one complete system set up that would be the easiest for first timers. Right now it seems like someone would need to be an expert in 4 to 6 different "hobbies".

just play around with nostr tools in your browser console
