the circles were a cool concept

#⭕ only works if it's emergent. Nobody is gonna curate multiple circles manually.

Okay fair, what's your opinion on the follow packs for nostr, can't those be viewed in the same light as Google + circles

circles were for sharing and reading. you organized people in a circle and when you shared content, you shared to that circle so they only saw that content. we have half of that functionality with a list or a follow pack. you can read from that list or follow pack, but you can't specifically share to it.

but as i said in another content, human curated lists are hard. i think algos handle it better than we ever could.

i.e. maybe i have a cool hiking pick that i wanna share to my hiking group, but you're in my bitcoin group, false, so you won't see it, even though you may like to see that pic.

absolutely. i really enjoyed them.

What do you enjoy?

organizing people and content into lists was powerful, though not always accurate since people don't always post the same content or want to read the same content. eventually we outgrew circles and most people just posted publically. but the organization of people into these lists were very powerful. i wish we had easy to use lists like that.
