I respect Shawshank as a film - performances, scripting, direction, cinematography, etc are all first class but it just doesn’t move me the way it seems to for others. One film that does is It’s A Wonderful Life which gets me every time. For whatever reason, Shawshank just doesn’t. Put it down to personal taste. 🤷🏻‍♂️
