It's because you placed an npub instead of a nostr address (which is like an email) in you profile.
nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z Hi I just started using Amethyst for Android, I logged in using my nsec, downloaded Orbot and indicated Amethyst as an app with permissions, Orbot is running on the background and all my relays are working on Amethyst, but I get a red exclamation on my profile npub is this normal?

Ok thanks this is a great answer BUT I tried something different, I tried signing in Amethyst with my GetAlby email address, which is a nostr+bitcoin+lightning client and it did take me into a profile that I can edit and has relays working, my question is: is this my email address, in other words my nostr address?
No. The nostr address needs to be purchased by a Nostr Address provider. There are 1000s of options out there and you don't need one if you don want to pay. But this is a separate thing that identifies you.
Thanks for your support Vitor, congratulations to you and your team for developing nostr integration with Amethyst for Android, it's flawlessly perfect!
Bravo nostriches!
