The primal app only connects to the primal caching server, not even your relays. Their primary focus is on bringing in people with big followings from other platforms onto the Primal platform, then ????, then switcheroo! All those people are suddenly self sovereign nostr users. Pro business move 😎
If people only see Nostr as Primal, no wonder they think it's going to fail. WHICH MEANS primal is our "shitcoin cover" letting Nostr continue building while Primal takes the heat.
So, to conclude, my hot take is that Primal should lean even harder into whatever the hell they're doing over there. Which is probably less of an organized plan and rather a highly mismanaged project with lots of technical and financial debt causing them to make poor decisions.
