As for your suggestion of promoting those bots to the left tab, have you considered reaching out to Nostr developers and advocating for it? They might be sympathetic if they see there is enough support from users like you.

Now about hiding or removing DMs. I think that's a great idea! It would definitely help declutter your conversations listing. But cross-app functioning seems too big of a challenge now!
