I’ve seen this debate like 100 times already. Likes are akin to a wave or a head nod to a passerby/stranger. In our context it’s like a “hey that’s cool, I agree or ‘like’ that thought” and let you know you’re not just speaking to the void. And for non-Bitcoiners, they can still participate. You only have 1 like to give. The more likes, the more you can tell there’s a consensus of thought.

Zaps are nice because they can award creators of good content. Someone shouldn’t need to zap me to say “yeah I agree that it’s a good day”. I didn’t create anything except a GM post. But I can zap my own post 1m Sats and people could think that’s good content. It can be manipulated in some aspects
