We have been wondering if we should cut our service provider for Starlink, and we are in town.

We have one at the family cabin in rural northern California and i’ve got one I use with my campervan in New Zealand. I only use the starlink at home when my fiber is having trouble, it’s a backup most of the time. It’s almost good enough to drop fixed line internet.
Yeah I have heard people use it as a backup at home... but for some reason they never let go of the fixed line. Is the service spotty or very reliable?
It’s spotty if you’ve got bad line of sight to the sky or are in a place with lots of starlink users. Otherwise it’s great.
