It's about "does it have a single point of failure/censorship/central instance.
Imagine a windows PC that ONLY allows installs from one conpany-controlled appstore AND no app on the appstore is allowed to be a third-party appstore (like for example steam is - an appstore for games)
Litterally NOBODY, not even the biggest retard, would use that when not forced to.
