Think about that in the context of Jesus' words: "Render unto Caesar..."
It continues to baffle me why any Christian would send their own children off to be raised by an enemy--only to be "surprised" and even "confused" at their children's later "life choices" and political or religious commitments.
I don't think I would have put it that strongly 20 years ago--but that may be more a reflection of my naivité.
it really is that bad... Pink Floyd's famous song and the movie associated with it really lays out everything you need to know about the anglo/american school systems, they are all sausage factories and all the rejects get sabotaged deliberately, obedience is the only thing they teach, everything else is deception
