U.S. Faces Record Drug Shortages

The number of drug shortages in the U.S. has reached a 23-year high, with 323 medications currently in short supply.

These shortages impact essential drugs, including chemotherapy, pain medications, and ADHD treatments, as reported by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Manufacturers attribute the shortages to supply chain disruptions, manufacturing issues, and recent legal and regulatory changes. See the current list of drugs in short supply.
