Few people understand that underlying liquidity decides the vector of an asset’s response to material news—good or bad.
Liquidity is like lube for markets. Run out of it and your financial machine is going to break if you try to keep it running.
I don’t think many people understand how illiquid the housing market is right now.
I wasn’t old enough to care what was happening in 2008 but I will say living through what seems very similar to what happened then is giving me an appreciation for just how slow it feels like things are moving when you already know things are out of oil but just haven’t broken yet lol
It’s hard/impossible for a fish to realize it’s in water. Will be nice when we escape the fiat system and things like ‘liquidity’ become irrelevant.
