"women want to be genuinely surprised"
This is certainly true but I'd caveat it by saying that women want to be surprised in their man's leadership, not his accomodations.
Women will accept accomodations, but it will come at the cost of respect and followership because accomodations= servitude = man not leading.
This is stating the obvious.
Genuinely surprising a woman can’t be done by “accommodating” them.
